The Living Room at The Mountain View Cottage is very well my favorite space in the house. It's a bright, airy, and inviting space. When you first walk into the house you are gently guided up a short flight of stairs and into the living room. My husband Ray and I built this space with a lot of intention. The fireplace is custom designed and made by Ray himself — the rustic farmhouse plankboards and dark hue of the mantle bring so much warmth and character to the room. We love the cozy fireplace where our kids sit and read books or play games. The space is intimate but large enough for a whole family to settle in together. Someone is always calling dibs on the cozy corner of our beautiful chaise sofa, and the rug ties it all together beautifully.
